Dear Campustown Businesses:

It is my pleasure to kick off our second year of the Campustown Business Group.

So far we have kept it simple and positive. In the past year, we recruited more than 30 investors and developed a productive working relationship with the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, City of Champaign, the Champaign/Urbana MTD, and the University of Illinois.

This year, we expect to build on our momentum and will soon launch “Thirteen Thursdays”, a huge promotional effort to reintroduce the community to Campustown during the summer sessions. We also expect that our efforts will encourage more communication and collaboration among business owners and managers for years to come.

The Campustown Business Group cannot operate without the generous support of business investors and in-kind donations. Please consider a minimum financial contribution of $250. Our goal is to recruit 30 investors by June 1.

As an added bonus, investors will be included in an investor spotlight section of our website and will have access to exclusive investor-only advertising discounts.

A copy of our budget for 2009/10 is available upon request for your reference.
